About Bringing in the Sheaves by Patricia Lankford

* This site was created Feb. 6th 2005 and I am HONORED to be SHOWCASED in the 'TOP 100' Tribal Sites since March 7th 2005.

Welcome to my tribe. Encapsulated on these pages is a wealth of information pertaining to many peoples. My primary paternal lines are BROOKS, TEAL/TEEL, SHEPHERD, KNIGHT, LANKFORD, and DILLEHAY from SMITH AND JACKSON COUNTIES IN TENNESSEE.

My mother`s family is also woven in from EAST TENNESSEE including CADES COVE area, KNOX, ANDERSON, HAMBLEN and surrounding COUNTIES. Family lines: KEENE, GARNER, BRICKEY, DUNKIN/DUNCAN, HOLLOWAY, KOEHN, WILLIAMS and more.

Thanks to researcher Jay Garner, I was provided with info to tie my direct into Susanna Keene and taken across the ocean to the British Monarchy. That part of this tree is his research and I take no credit for it. Other lines from various researchers I`ve made every attempt to credit within the scope of notes. If I`ve overlooked someone, pls advise. Also I`ve noticed mistakes from what my ftm program shows and how it all got interpreted on tribalpages. Bear with me as I clean out the kinks. Feel free to advise me of obvious errors. Your input is appreciated.

The following people have been major contributors to Brooks and Lankford and Associated family tree: Lavon Lankford, Leland Lankford, Teri Dillehay, Patty Skaggs, Winston Dillehay, Lisa Blansit, Tonda Shockley, Pam Teel and more I'm sure. Thanks to each one.

Best Regards, Patti

P.S. my husband's family is also listed in the pages of this website. He descends from Elizabeth de Echyingham and I descend from her sister: Ann de Echyingham. this makes us 17th through 27th cousins once removed according to my family tree software. I thank my father-in-law, Mac McNeal, for his extensive research contribution on this line.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
